One of a pair of marine oil paintings attributed to Thomas Buttersworth (1768-1842). According to the engraved label, the H. M. Frigate Glasgow a 50 gun warship, is sailing on a reach off the Scottish coast in 1826. Within a gilt wood frame and with sight measurements of 19" X 23 1/4".
Condition reportCrackleature and some instability on this canvas with one small area in center of sky gone. Scattered rubbed areas.
