OSTERTAG Retro Platinum !8k Gold Ruby Compact

Retro (1940s) platinum, 18k gold, and ruby compact by Ostertag, of French origin. This well decorated compact offers two compartments for makeup and a mirror. The compact is encrusted with platinum set rubies at its opening; there are 32 emerald-cut and 2 cabochon rubies for a total of approx. 6.0-6.5cts of total weight. Item specifics: 3 1/8" long; 2" wide; 3/8" deep; 122.8 grams in weight. Marked "Depose Ostertag Paris" and French assay marks for 18k gold and platinum. Excellent condition. Comes with original leather and suede cover.
