Russian Silver Presentation Set in a Case, c.1890

The set is comprised of five silver pieces (Russian 84 standard) fitted in a velvet lined oak case.The fruit knife with a steel blade. Maker mark "MG" in Cyrillic characters. The bottom of the case with the following hand printed inscription: "Service from Russia 1890 George Lunney given to Ida Tinney in 1930 = mother of Ira W given to Ira Tinney in 1952 father of Wayne A". The silver pieces with minor abrasions; one prong slightly bent on the fruit fork. The oak case with some scratches and cracks. The silver pieces in overall good condition; the case in overall fair condition. Case measurements: 9 1/4" x 8" x 1 1/2" h.
