Red pants, J & E Stevens Co., designed by James H. Bowen, Philadelphia, Penn., patented 1/6/1877. Place the coin in proper position on the barrel of the rifle, when, by pressing the right foot, it is thrown into the opening, which is the bull's eye of the target. As the coin enters, it strikes a gong bell, and the rifle is so arranged that a paper cap may be fired at the same time.
