J & E Stevens Co., designed by Charles A. Bailey, patented 10/10/1893. Place a coin in the slot at the feet of Columbus, press the lever, and as the coin disappears an Indian Chief suddenly leaps from his place of concealment in the log, extending the pipe of peace as Columbus salutes him.
