1918 Original Oil Painting By Indiana painter, Simon Baus, (1882-1969)known for his portraiture and landscapes. Painting measures 39" x 31". Simon Paul Baus, a Gubernatorial Painter, has sold many paintings by auction and can be found on askart.com. Subject of this painting was a Mid West aristocrat, Clara Belle Moore, and is signed on the back of the the painting. This is an early work done by Baus, signed and dated in the top right hand corner. There is some damage to the canvas (two small worn places and some paint loss). SHI $175.
