dating: second quarter of the 17th Century
provenence: Northern Germany
Straight, double-edged blade, of lozange section, with a short tang; the ricasso has a mark, a central fuller and is outlined at the borders; iron hilt with two large oval guards fretworked with stars and circles, two side wings, the quillon is curved towards the blade and curled at the end, the other one constitutes the guard, held by two side arms; oval pommel with hollow faces; the iron wire binding and the moor's heads are probably from a following period.
