Bruno Zach (German, 1891-1935) The Riding Crop, Large Bronze Figure of a Semiclad Woman Holding a Riding Crop, the young woman standing authoritatively in high-heeled shoes, a shawl wrapped around her nubile form, with assessing expression and languorously hooded eyes, the riding crop held in both hands behind her back, with mold incised signature to base, greenish brown patina, on low, dark marble base, bronze height 32 1/2, marble ht. 1, total ht. with marble 33 1/2 in.
Condition reportCondition: one thumb lacking tip (showing filing marks, either done after casting, or possibly as a repair of old damage). small spot of abrasion to back of left arm. very minor patina rubbing. minor bends to crop. marble with a chip at rear, and with light fleabites to upper edge throughout.
