ANTIQUE JAPANESE SAMURAI YOROI DOSHI TANTO SIGN

Antique Muromachi period, 1392-1573, Japanese Samurai Yoroi-Doshi tanto signed Hiromitsu, a highly ranked sword maker of Sagami province (C.1350). Nagasa 225mm, blade width 27mm, Blade thickness 6mm, nakago zaimei and ubu. Details of two piece copper and shakudo habaki, two seppa, shakudo bronze tsuba, fine quality gold and shakudo Fuchi, persimon, jingasa and kura-Key designs, matched shakudo menuki, and black tsuka-maki over shark skin. Together with a fine black lacquered saya. Original Japanese polish. Good overall condition.
