A rare glimpse into the life of William Powell
A very special offering. William Powell's correspondence to a lady friend: Jeanne Lorrainne during his holdiay right before he made "Paid for Love" (1927). The letter date August 16th 1926 references the film (under its original title - A Royal Romance) and also talk about his vacation to Catalina with his friends Ronald Colmand and Richard Barthelmess. Letter is hand-written on his personal stationary. Also included in this lot: A telegram to Jeanne Lorrainne dated August 27th 1926 Two portrait photos of Willaim Powell One Credited to Russell Ball One Credited to George P Hommel And Eight candid photos of William Powell and his friends Ronald Colmand and Richard Barthelmess waterskiing and horseplaying on their yacht in Catalina. Truly a rare glimpse into the lives of the 20s movie stars. The Candid photos have not been reproduced anywhere else.
