Extraordinary sample in an experimental color: This 12" long celery tray was made by Fenton in the mid-1970s with an old McKee mould purchased about a decade earlier. The original number/name for the McKee pattern was "407 Innovation" and it dates from about 1917-20. The interesting yellow glass color is made with the chemical cerium. This rare sample piece has the typical Fenton oval logo of the 1970s that was imparted by a blasting process.
