KESTNER BISQUE BUST OF STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY. Marks: JDK Kestner crown and streamer stamp on bottom, plus 1689b. 11". Sculpted and hand-painted bisque bust representing a fascinating young lady with light brown hair, lavishly-appointed and low-cut bodice, neck band, decorated hair; slightly turned head with downcast eyes, closed mouth and pensive expression, includes original hand-carved walnut stand.

Wonderful, fully marked, circa 1880 bust of finest quality, repair to top hair lace and bow, otherwise excellent.
