Rookwood: Lot of 2, a Vellum & a Decorated Mat

Lot of two decorated vases: First is a squat vase, 2 inches by 4 1/2 inches, graced with a garland of fruit encircling the shoulder, the work of Patti Conant in 1915, shape 957 E. There is fine crazing, some pretty mild peppering and a very tight, short line at the rim. Second is a 7 1/8 inch mat vase with red and orange flowers encircling the upper portion of the vase, the work of Katherine Jones in 1925, shape 2056. No crazing but there is peppering and an inverted, Y shape crack descending about three inches from the rim. Each is marked appropriately and signed by the artist who decorated it.

Both have cracks
