Rookwood Vellum 9 1/4" vase, wild roses, FR

Vellum Glaze 9 1/4 inch vase decorated in 1916 by Fred Rothenbusch, who encircled the vase with pink wild roses. Impressed with the Rookwood symbol, the date, shape 1660 D and a V to indicate Vellum and incised with the artist's cypher, as well as a wheel ground X. There is overall crazing and there has been restoration at the rim. We do not know if this was due to a factory flaw or later damage.
