Rookwood Iris vase, mistletoe, Sax, 8 1/2"

Iris Glaze 8 1/2 inch vase encircled by boughs of mistletoe, with pink berries and green leaves, expertly arranged by Sara Sax in 1905. Impressed with the Rookwood symbol, the date and shape 907 E and incised with a W for Iris Glaze and bearing the artist's monogram. There is fine overall crazing and two short, tight lines descend from the rim, the lines being much more visible to the interior than the exterior. Displays Ms. Sax' excellent color sense.
