Elephant paperweight, designed by Arthur Conant, cast and fired in 1945 and left in the bisque state. Impressed with the Rookwood logo, the date and shape 6488. No crazing. Nice definition and providing insight about how Rookwood appears before glaze is applied. Height 3 1/2 inches.
