Fine Rookwood Porcelain vase, Barrett, 13 1/8"

Exceptional Rookwood Porcelain vase with exotic glazes done in 1928 by Elizabeth Barrett. The basic decoration consists of geometric designs, laid down with a squeeze bag. The vase is then covered with layers of rich glazes over what appears to be an orange ground, the last glaze a thick, unctuous gray. Marks include the company logo, the date, shape number 6080 and the incised monogram of the artist. Height 13 1/8 inches. Uncrazed. We have not seen a glaze and color combination quite like this.
