Rookwood Design Crystal, Irises, Jensen, 13 1/8"

Designed Crystal vase decorated in 1944 by Jens Jensen who, as was his fashion, generously arranged large irises around the circumference of the vessel. Impressed with the Rookwood symbol, the date and shape 216 and bearing Mr. Jensen's monogram in black slip. There is typical overall crazing and some grinding chips at the base. Height 13 1/8 inches.
