Rookwood 8 1/2" carved & painted mat, CST

Decorated mat glaze 8 1/2 inch vase with three carved and painted peacock feathers in a repeating pattern around the shoulder, the work of Charles S. Todd in 1913. Impressed with the Rookwood symbol, the date and shape 1838 and incised with the artist's initials. There is no apparent crazing but the areas at the rim and the base have been oversprayed, which indicates restoration.

No crazing, oversprayed at rim and base
