Rookwood mat maroon dragonfly vase, 9 3/8"

Spectacular Rookwood production vase with three embossed dragonflies just below the shoulder done in 1922. The glaze is a rich maroon with faint mottling that we (unfortunately) have not seen before. It is at once thick and viscous without obscuring the detail of the dragonflies. Marks include the company logo and date along with shape number 2325. Height 9 3/8 inches. Uncrazed and very clean.
