Rookwood large plaque, Epply, 1914, 9" X 14"

Rookwood Scenic Vellum 9 inch by 14 inch plaque decorated in 1914 by Lorinda Epply, who has depicted a pathway between areas with trees, heading for some purple hills in the distance. Impressed with the Rookwood logo, the date and a V for Vellum Glaze on the reverse and bearing the artist's monogram in slip in the lower right corner. There is light overall crazing and a few small, minor glaze bubbles. A pretty plaque showing the use of brighter colors than usual. In a nice walnut frame.
