woman standing on shore with letter, unsigned, oil on panel, possibly 17th century, unframed, 9-1/4 x 7-3/8 in. Retouch scattered throughout and in large portion of face, areas of overcleaning. Inscribed verso on paper tape "Van der Venne 1589-1662", suggesting an attribution to Adriaen Pietersz van de Venne, Flemish, 1589-1662.
