eagle with spread wings, two inkstands at either side of a pen tray, signed "Besserdich" (Ruffino Besserdich, Austrian, early 20th century), 10-1/2 x 20 x 9 in. Some corrosion in tray, wear to surface, lacking liners. Provenance: Private Collection, Charlotte, North Carolina.
