figured mahogany veneers with line inlay, hinged lid with divided interior for nine bottles, brass carrying handles, British, circa 1800, 25-1/2 x 16-1/2 x 16-1/2 in. Veneer cracks, buckling and warping, bottom board replaced, frame with later glue blocks, cracks and some losses at feet. Provenance: Estate of the Late Andrew Rowan Summers, Abingdon, Virginia.
