Chippendale, each maple with arched crest and pierced splat, square legs with box stretchers, traces of green paint, modern upholstery, late 18th century, 39 x 21 x 15-1/2 in. Slip seats later (formerly rush seats), minor cracks and repairs at joints of crest rails and stiles, other normal wear, surface abrasions and finish losses. Provenance: Private Collection, Greensboro, North Carolina.
