sack back with shaped arm supports and deeply shaped plank seat, turned legs and stretchers, dry probably original finish with traces of red and black paint, attributed to Rhode Island, late 18th century, 35 x 24 x 14 in. Excellent condition with normal wear and surface losses to paint overall, crest rail cracked at center back. Provenance: Estate of the Late William and Priscilla Carlebach, Mystic, Connecticut and Bedford, New York.
