mahogany and walnut(?), carved crest, upholstered and pierce-carved back, slip seat with yellow pine supports, square legs with stretchers, possibly Petersburg, Virginia, late 18th century, 50-1/2 x 31-1/2 x 25 in. Arms and arm supports replaced, slip seat replaced, cracks and repairs to legs at joint with seat frame (one patch).
