walnut, bloodroot and yellowroot dyes, made by Agnes Welch, 1977, original Qualla tag detached but present, 17-1/2 in. including oak lock handle. Basket in excellent condition, tag in poor condition with pest damage. Provenance: Estate of the Late Hal and Frances Hancock, Sanford, North Carolina.
