white oak with lock handle, walnut and bloodroot dyes, made by Agnes Welch, 18-1/2 x 20-1/2 x 13-1/4 in., lot accompanied by red award ribbon "Scottsdale National Indian Arts Exhibition 1976 Second Place" and fragment of original Qualla tag with handwritten notes present but detached. Excellent condition. Provenance: Estate of the Late Hal and Frances Hancock, Sanford, North Carolina.
