published by Hodder and Stoughton, England: J.M. Barrie, [Quality Street,] 1913, illustrated and signed by Hugh Thomson, 447/1000; J.M. Barrie, [The Admiral Crichton,] 1914, illustrated and signed by Hugh Thomson, 47/500; Oliver Goldsmith, [She Stoops to Conquer,] 1912, illustrated and signed by Hugh Thomson, 289/350; Charles Dickens, [Mr. Pickwick,] 1910, signed by Frank Reynolds, 145/350, all with lavish pictorial stamped gilt front board and spine, 12-1/2 x 10-1/4 in. All missing silk ties and top edge gilt, slight stains and scuffs to boards, front boards slightly warped, [She Stoops to Conquer] with ink inscription on recto of end page. Provenance: Property of a Charleston Lady.
