Newcomb vase, carved jonquils, Irvine, 6 7/8"

Newcomb College 6 7/8 inch vase decorated in 1919 by Sadie Irvine, who carved and painted jonquils around the circumference of the vase. Marked with the Newcomb College logo, shape 209, the date code for 1919 (JY68), the monogram of potter Joseph Meyer and Ms. Irvine's monogram. No crazing but there are tight cracks to the bottom, two of which extend up the side and another which results in a chip to the foot ring.
