Rare Hy-Long art pottery vase made by Frank Long at Spruce Pines Pottery (Muscle Shoals Pottery) in Spruce Pine, Alabama, circa 1926. The red clay, hand thrown, vase is done with a repeating band of flowers and leaves in cream and green painted on the rust colored body of the piece with shallow incising to give dimension. Signed Hy-Long on the bottom, the vase measures 5 7/8 inches tall and is in excellent original condition with no crazing.
