Steuben grn Jade smoke consumer,cap,6 5/8"

Steuben green Jade smoke consumer with cap. An unusual object addressing the sign of the times when smoking was considered the "in" thing to do! These bottles were supplied with wicks, filled with lamp oil, after lighting, the tobacco smoke would be neutralized in the room. This interesting object has the company fleur-de-lis logo imprinted under the base. Height 6 5/8 inches. Slightly ribbed. Very good condition. Possibly a special order for a British tobacco firm Benson & Hedges of New York.
