Larry grew up in Idaho. He gained a deep appreciation for the beauty found in nature along the pristine streams and in the mountains and valleys of the Rocky Mountains. He graduated with a M.F.A degree from Utah State University in 1965. Early in his career he became a very accomplished designer/illustrator and art director. During his illustration career his work appeared in many national and international publications. His works have appeared in Audubon, Sports Illustrated, LDS magazines and the Sierra Club.His painting "Faith In Every Footstep" is in The Mormon Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints museum. and he was honored in 1991 at the Jackson Hole, Wyoming national Arts For The Parks competition. His work has been shown at a number of galleries since the early 1990s. Many of his works feature scenes from the Western United States, including the Rocky Mountains, where he grew up. Winborg's "A Test of Faith and Ice" was entered in the LDS Church's Sixth International Art Competition Larry's desire to express his feelings about life and nature through his fine art were always most important to him. He eventually left the commercial field to develop his masterful impressionistic and realistic painting styles. His work can be found in many private and corporate collections. His originals and prints are available in several premier fine art galleries throughout the United States. Condition reportframed
