Jack Jano signed oil Painting Israeli Tomb

11.6 X 19.6 inches it depicts either a tomb or a synagogue in an Israeli landscape. this piece was purchased from the American Friends of the Tel Aviv Art Museum. it is an oil or acrylic on canvas signed.
Jack Jano also went by Jack Zenou (Moroccan Israeli)
Born in Fez, Morocco, immigrated to Israel at early age and settled in Shlomi.
a graduate of the Bezalel Academy.

Jano is one of the most fascinating artists working today; with a deep connection to Jewish roots, he creates a new language which corresponds with contemporary art.

The dynamic and expressive process of Jano's works are well seen in his impressive self- portraits which he has been painting in the last twenty years. Those portraits reflect his continuous search for his artistic and social identity.

From as early on as the 1980's Jano has been an outstanding member of a growing group of Israeli artists engaged in a correspondence with the roots of spiritual culture.
