Aside from participation in many international group shows, since 1971, Shapiro has held many solo exhibitions. They include the venues of: Numark Gallery, Atlanta, GA; Lowe Gallery, Atlanta, GA; Sherry Leedy Contemporary Art, Kansas City, MO; Sen Gallery, Tokyo, Japan; and Mira Godard Gallery, Toronto, Canada. Shapiro has also been invited as a visiting artist to many institutions including the Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia, PA. In addition, he has taught at different art schools and universities including Parsons School of Design, New York, NY and Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY and his work is represented in public and corporate collections.
