Professional Experience:
Sculpture is my avocation, occupation and profession. Commissioned works include a bullmastiff dog "Gamekeeper's Night Dog" in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, portraits, architectural ornaments, a column capital for Trinity Church in Princeton, NJ, a frieze of "Perching Doves" for Aspen Hill Library, MD. I have worked as a freelance sculptor making prototypes for companies which manufacture porcelain objects, signed medallions and garden ornaments. Representation: 1980's Marian Locks Gallery and F.A.N. Gallery in Philadelphia, PA in the 1990s. Currently with Glenn Green Gallery in Tesuque, NM Victoria Davila
sculpts her pet birds, cats, natural subjects, models and other people's dogs in her Santa Fe, New Mexico studio. Kernels of corn, bunches of bananas, a fragment of a crab shell and oak leaves are some of the natural subjects she has used in her still life art. While her work refers to actual subjects she is a sculptor who is interested primarily in the expressions conveyed in their abstracted forms. Vicki makes commissioned bronze sculptures of animals and portrait sculptures, as well as prototypes for companies that make porcelain figurines, commemorative medallions and garden ornaments. Sculpture is her avocation, occupation and profession.
