Dube, Jean-Paul – Lets Save Our Salmon – 1972, Ottawa. Deluxe limited edition, number 26 of 30 Presentation copies, inscribed and signed by author. Special binding in blue morocco with silver gilt salmon ornamentation, chapter headings by Milton C. Weiler. In fine condition with very slight age discoloration. Also a signed tan cloth trade edition, numbered 647 of 850 with Colonel Henry A. Siegel (DeFeo fly art) ex-libris book plate. In fine condition with excellent condition slip case with shelf wear.
A fly fisherman throughout his life, Robert Blockoff had been fascinated by the sport from a young age. By extension in the 1970's his attention turned to collecting angling books. This and 97 other lots represent this pursuit. His collection is comprised of both American and English titles with a focus on salmon fishing, having taken a significant turn when he purchased Jones' Guide to Norway from the important G-Albert Petit Collection.
