Pickering, H.G. – Trout Fishing in Secret – 1931, Derrydale Press. Limited edition of 99 copies, this being number 87. Original light blue paper covered boards, painted labels on cover and spine. Uncut pages, hand colored frontispiece by Mrs. Pickering, Anglers' Club of New York ex-libris plate. In good condition with some spine separation and age discoloration.

A fly fisherman throughout his life, Robert Blockoff had been fascinated by the sport from a young age. By extension in the 1970's his attention turned to collecting angling books. This and 97 other lots represent this pursuit. His collection is comprised of both American and English titles with a focus on salmon fishing, having taken a significant turn when he purchased Jones' Guide to Norway from the important G-Albert Petit Collection. Further early titles soon followed. Lang's is pleased to offer the Blockoff Angling Library.
