20 beautiful full dressed colorful flies, signed by Francis Stearns with hand written title Quananiche, Trout & Bass Flies. Each old fly includes a penned pattern by Stearns and is in as new condition. In original 14 1/2" x 12" frame. It is becoming increasingly more difficult to find nice examples of this highly respected pioneer's work, whose credits include being the first woman to hold such a lofty position as L.L. Bean's chief designer and tier in the 1930's. To find a large number of like new examples such as these, identified and signed by Stearns is extraordinary and extremely rare.
