Helen Shaw was dubbed The First Lady of Fly Tying. As well as being an important author on the subject of fly tying, she received accolades and awards from all the most prominent fishing organizations, including the revered Anglers' Club of New York. Shaw was known for her flawlessly tied classic patterns as well as her own exceptional designs. Professionally matted and framed in a 7 7/8" x 7" wood frame by Don Leyden/Donmar Studio, with an inscribed plaque "Tied by Helen Shaw". Mint condition dry fly is showcased beautifully in a three tier matte.
