Rare Ed Bendl Sample Fly Book

Ed Bendl was considered an expert on New York lake fishing and a popular local fly tier. As stated on the front cover, which includes Bendl's signature, this book was started in 1938. This date is also written on the first fly page. Pattern identification is included with each fly, all hand written by Bendl. This was the fly book used by fisherman in his well known fly shop in Northville, NY to place orders. Zippered, textured binder includes a total of 354 original flies. Flies range in condition from good to near mint with the vast majority being excellent, some a bit flattened from the pressure of the pages.
