Posted on telegraph poles or posts for public notices about fishing laws in France from the late 1800's through the turn of the century. These 4" curved metal signs, marked La Loi (The Law), translates to Law of the Particular Common. One in excellent condition with light wear and tarnish, and the other with scratched names, both with drilled holes for attachment.
