The find of the Century! Insanely detailed carved oak tall case clock by Tobey, Chicago IL. Each and every inch of this clock is carved to death with amazingly crisp details. The base has winged lady head Sphinx sides with ship scene center, the sides feature beautiful lady Caryatids, with standing scholars beside the clock face. Lastly, the pierce carved crest of winged griffins holding floral garland with center shield, truly tops off this rare find! Includes Whittington & Westminster Chimes, strikes on the 1/4 hour, Face marked: Mappin & Webb, & Webb, Oxford Street, London. It also has a scenic hand painted moon dial and nine tubes. C.1900. 112”H x 30”W.
