Edward Vom Hofe, Maker, Fulton St., N. Y. Marked Perfection Model 360 Size 3 Hand Made German Silver and Hard Rubber Trout Reel. This rare early model has a 2 1/2" diameter and a 7/8" wide spool. The dished front hard rubber plate houses the drag adjustment with arrow indicator that points to red dots set in the rubber. The rear bearing features a sliding cap and click switch, with an aluminum spool and neatly dressed aluminum foot marked with both the model number 360 and the serial number V392. This very desirable size Perfection is coupled with a Vom Hofe marked, form fitted leather case. The reel is in excellent condition with incredibly shallow line grooves on one of the shouldered pillars. A true American classic trout reel.
