Scarce Seamaster Mark 1 Direct Drive "Baby Doll" Trout Reel. Hand made by Captain Bob McChristian, this 3 1/4" diameter, 15/16" wide spool reel has been affectionately dubbed the "Baby Doll" for its small size. With a drag that can handle everything from stream trout to tarpon and large sharks, this precision trout reel will handle 300 yards of 12 pound micron and a 90 foot WF7 fly line. Weighing 6 ounces and set for left hand wind, this reel comes with a hand typed letter from Captain Bob, talking about the capabilities of this, as he calls it, "Baby Darling" reel, signed in blue ink. Serial numbered 782, and with paperwork that includes the guaranty card, price and spec sheet from 1978 and original box and reel pouch. In new condition, a very desirable reel from the Coral Gables, Florida based company.
