11' Leonard Salmon Rod

This massive 3/2 rod is in fair but original condition. With red wraps, full intermediates, double ring guides with a tunnel guide for a stripper, and patent dated ferrules. This rod bears all the hallmarks one would expect of a cherished fishing rod: the handle is heavily soiled, all the nickel silver ferrules and reel seat are tarnished, the varnish has age cracks, and one guide needs to be rewrapped on the butt. All sections are full length but the mid and both tips are curved. The large n/s reel seat has an ornately knurled sliding band and shows the seam soldered line. It bears the stamping: " H.L. Leonard, Maker, W. Mills & Son, N.York, Sole Agents". This rod comes complete with the original bamboo tip tube and canvas sack.
