Stamped: "J.J. Walker Bampton Makers Alnwick", this 2/1 rod has no ferrules, but has tapered sections that overlap each other, hence the name "Spliced". It sports a 23" cork handle with an adjustable aluminum threaded collar and screw ring for anchoring the reel. The butt section is finished with a rubber button. Overall, the rod is in good condition with slight soiling of the handle and occasional varnish chips, mostly where the lashings were used to join the sections together. It has black wraps over chrome casting style guides, and the stripper is white agate as is the tip top. There are two walnut sections that are designed as splice protectors, and it comes with the original Farlow's marked bag. Both sections are straight and full. A nice display piece and still fishable.
