This beautiful 3/1 rod has been nicely restored using red wraps and the original flip ring guides. All sections are made of ash wood turned on a lathe in "pool cue" style. It has nice nickel silver reel seat hardware including a down-sliding band and the butt cap bears hand-cut lettering: "T. Aldred, Maker, 126 Oxford St., London". It is drilled for a detachable spike (not included). Of particular note are the nickel silver male spiked ferrules that are open on the point, revealing the wood. The female ferrules appear to be brass and have no welt.
