Warren Baumgartner, (American, 1894-1963). A highly respected artist and story illustrator, Baumgartner studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, contributing works in the 1930's and 40's to Collier's, Woman's Home Companion, and the Saturday Evening Post, as well as advertising illustrations throughout his career. Large watercolor measures 23" x 15", professionally matted in a 32" x 25" frame. An exceptional composition with the suggestive highlights, fluidity, and attention to color Baumgartner is known for. In excellent condition, from the Wm. Cushner collection.
